 Morning Meeting starts our day.

Morning Meeting provides an amazing environment for students to practice: 

  • The importance of greeting one another.  
  • Giving and receiving a friendly greeting. 
  • Being good listeners. 
  • Daily language skills (spelling, punctuation, etc.)

 

Math  

With the Everyday Math curriculum, students have the opportunity for a daily hands-on mathematical experience through the use of tools such as: 
fact triangles
pattern block template
base-10 blocks
dominoes
calculators
   and many others!



Students also play Math games which are not only fun, but help to reinforce the skills they are taught in the Math curriculum.  
 
 
 
Language Arts
 
In class, we read a story in our text weekly. To help students practice their spelling words, they may use letter tiles to build their words at a classroom center. 



 
Students also use a template on Kidspiration, a software available on our computers, to help them sort their words. This gives them practice with using the computer and locating their letters on the keyboard. They truly enjoy this activity!
